I selected this poem because It describes what I think writing should be. It should be about going back to your childish intuitions and not being so concerned in how a writer should act. The poem was named " Do You Have Any advice for those of Us Just Starting Out" because it is being somewhat sarcastic by saying, all the advice you need is what you already know. There is no reason to try and be prestigious. The author used the simile "be like a child." The author also was trying to show by indicating the people with turtle necks and the snow the romantic snow covered chalet by allowing us to see that those are stereotypical circumstances. The tone of the poem is fun, it shows children at play and the childish side of writing. The side that does not hold their noses in the air and scoft at those who don't wear turtle necks.
