rhythm
The patterned, recurring alternations of contrasting elements of sound or speech.
rhyme scheme
the pattern of rhymes used in a poem, usually marked by letters to symbolize correspondences, as rhyme royal, ababbcc.
alliteration
the commencement of two or more words of a word group with the same letter, as in apt alliteration's artful aid.
anaphora
Rhetoric. repetition of a word or words at the beginning of two or more successive verses, clauses, or sentences.
Consonance
correspondence of sounds; harmony of sounds.
Assonance
rhyme in which the same vowel sounds are used with different consonants in the stressed syllables of the rhyming words, as in penitent and reticence.
